About the course
The training provides basic knowledge of OSHA’s history and mission, worker rights under OSHA, employer responsibilities, OSHA standards, OSHA inspections, and safety and health resources, including how to file an OSHA complaint. The purpose of OSHA and the OSH Act is to keep workers and employers safe and decrease the risk involved in the workplace.
There are regulations in place as well as a system of accountability through an inspection process. Introduction to OSHA offers you information about employer and employee rights and responsibilities, the inspection process, reporting, and recordkeeping.
